Day 70. Hamilton Historic Hotel, free camp

Very chilly on my solo walk this morning, 5°, so only did 1km knowing we are going for a walk around town later.

Very long shadows.

Went for a 3km walk down to the river.

Another walk, this time in town to check out a few sights before we head off in pursuit of the Min Min lights at a spot yet to be determined but it will be far away from civilisation. ๐Ÿคท Expect lots of photos, unedited today. We'll have no reception tonight so just putting everything up.

Haberdashery and gallery

        Kerosene fridge

      Cinema room.

    Very stressful job

We had camel  burgers for lunch ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿช

Crossed the Burke river on our way towards Winton. We have about 80kms to drive to tonight's stop, near Min Min.

Scenery shots

Hamilton Hotel burnt down in the early 1900s.  It was a Cob and Co stop. Some of the old fence posts still exist. Lots of glass around, presumably from the pub.

A couple of graves in the area.

The sunset and night sky were amazing again.

 Dust floating in the sunset.
    Dry Creek bed behind us.

The one and only Min Min light we saw. It was very cold sitting outside in the dark to get the remarkable photo.

Today we travelled 82kms. Total travelled hitched is 6080kms.
