Day 80. Home πŸ™„

 Morning walk.

Metal art workshop.

   Mt Walsh in the background.
Campground from the bridge over the old railway line.
Beautiful rose gardens
It's been suggested we have to try the custard slices from the bakery before we leave, soooooo

They had none πŸ™„πŸ₯Ί had to settle for a apple scroll instead, which we took to Dalarnil to have for our last mornos together for this trip.

Our last 'family' selfie as we go our separate ways home πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹. Hopefully not for long as I have lots left on my bucket list. It's been a pleasure to travel with these guys, they are so flexible and easy going.
We've had 80 days on the road exploring Queensland and we still haven't seen it all. We've left a few things for another trip, mainly some national parks,  gorges and waterfalls. Hopefully Yvonne and Gunther and a few others will join us.
We had a couple of fun stays with friends in Strathdickie and Port Douglas. We thank you for your hospitality xx.
Wikicamps says we've completed just over 8,000kms towing the Journey.  The cruisers odometer reads 8,920kms.

Covid permitting we hoping to head to Dubbo at the end of August to meet up with some of my Victorian family. Fingers, arms and everything crossed.πŸ€žπŸ™…

Day 79. Biggenden.

Mark had to get up and pull the awning in at 3 am. Luckily we only had it out halfway when we went to bed last night. While it was a warm night it turned windy and misty.

Went for my morning walk, ~2kms, got a little damp and nearly had my hat blown off.

Kelly and Lewis VC75 twin cylinder vertical compressor.

Where cars go to die.

Stopped in Mundubbera for morning tea and then Ban Ban Springs for lunch.

Set up at Biggenden $5 donation to camp.

Town walk.

This was used to take the money to the store owner and the receipt and change was sent back.
Rose made from steel rods. Very impressive.
Memorial hall, where Gunthers parents became Australian citizens.

   Donations box.

Today we travelled 235kms, total 7674kms.

Day 78. Theodore or Cracow🀷

I went for a couple of walks this morning. 1 on my own and 1 with the others. ~4kms.

The Dululu pub was gutted by fire in 2015 and is still under repair. The building was originally a boarding house in Mt Morgan and moved to Dululu in 1935.

Stopped at Banana to make morning tea.

Had lunch at the Theodore free camp then went for a ride along the river. Not very big, ~6.5kms, but better than nothing.

Cotton fields along the way to Theodore.

Bird hide on the Dawson River.

We decided to go to Cracow for the night.  We stayed here last year and had a great night at the pub. So being Thursday we will keep with tradition.

Today we travelled 191kms, total hitched 7439.
