Day 57. Einasleigh.

 Lava tube tour.

Gympie Gympie,  pronounced Jimpy Jimpy. Very toxic.

250 year old Moreton Bay fig tree

Today we will be  free camping beside a bridge between Undara and Georgetown.  Don't expect reception so blog will be done probably on Friday when we're in Georgetown.

Stopped at Mt Surprise.

On the road to find a camping spot.

The water was crystal clear and smooth as glass.
Not deep and you could easily see the bottom.

Heard some rustling in the bush.

Almost a full moon. Warm and cloudy, perfect for sitting around the fire for a few hours.

Today we travelled 89kms, taking the total hitched to 4678kms.

  2. Thank you. Apparently that's how the Aboriginal pronounced it but 'we' put our own slant on it.
