Day 45 & 46. Archer River roadhouse

Things we saw along the way to Archer River. 

Racq paid 3 visits to collect broken down vehicles while we were there. This one had a missing wheel.

Lots of BIG trucks coming through. 

Our camp spot.  By the end of the day it was packed.

Spent 2 nights at the roadhouse & swam in the river.

Testing the waters for a swim tomorrow. 

Next day we had a lazy/rest day. Our neighbours we had spoken to for a while yesterday came over for a couple of hours while they waited for the Racq to tow their vehicle & trailer to Wepia. It had gone in to limp mode.

After Yvonne and Gunther arrived we all went down to the river for a swim/paddle. The water was crystal clear. 

We cooked soup on the fire for dinner. 

Along with some toast, followed with toasted marshmallows. 

My sprained foot isn't painful when walking on flat ground but is still swollen, stiff and bruised. 

We had a successful night satellite spotting with over 12 verified and a shooting star 🌠🌌

Today we have travelled 125kms taking the total hitched to 3,449.
