Day 32. Cooktown.

 Noisy night with pub patrons coming home and fire crackers going off.

Wandered around the camp area.

Lazy moon doesn't want to set.

Interesting rocks.

Apparently the water temperature was below cold but it didn't stop people swimming. 

Heading off to Cooktown, ~30kms away.

Drove up the long, steep road to glassy hill lookout. The view was spectacular.

We are staying at the racecourse. No facilities but it's a gold coin donation so fair enough. Luckily the new van has it's own amenities 🤩

Today we travelled 30kms hitched and another 15kms unhitched. 

Today completes the first leg of our journey. We are roughly 10 days behind where I thought we'd be.  That just means we have explored more places and done more things 😍
