Day 60. Karumba.

We were going to the Leichhardt lagoon for a couple of days but Marks mum is not well. She's been back and forth to the hospital over the past week.  With this in mind we decided to head straight to Karumba for 2 days. Then we'll be in Normanton for a few days which will include a trip on the Gulflander train.  After that we will head for home.
A vandals work.
Big open spaces today and 100s of Brolgas.
Swim in the van park pool to cool down.
Family of Brolgas in the campground.
Went for a walk to explore.

Lots of Corellas.

Drove to Karumba point thinking we'd have dinner at the sunset hotel and watch the sun going down. So did a squillion other people. So we sat on the beach instead and watched a splendid sunset.

A flock of birds flew by.

Another ✔ on the bucket list. Sunset over the Gulf.
The after glow was just as spectacular.
Went to the animal for a pizza and watched the first half of a dismal State of Origin.

We travelled 195kms hitched today taking the total to 5108kms.
