Day 4. Yeppoon.

Very busy day today. We drove into Yeppoon as the Hwy didn't appeal to anyone to ride on. We walked our little legs off.  Lots of exploring and mountain climbing, we even had a swim in the lagoon.

We stopped in at the local market, which was very small, before going to the information centre to see the sea shell display.
          New Zealand Paua Shell

Hermit crabs from the Great Barrier Reef
                                                         Shore crabs from Keppel Bay
Art work created from numerous shells.
Then we walked around to the Lagoon area.

The view over the infinity pool to the ocean.
Panoramic of the pool.
Gunther got out of the pool to take a couple of photos of these stunning ladies 😇

After all that swimming/playing in the very chilly water it was time for a drink and a pizza for lunch before our mountain climbing.
First we climbed up to fan rock,

The view of the bluff from fan rock.
Next climb we continued to Double Head.

                                   Rosslyn Bay, Keppel Marina
On to Bluff point for another climb. 104m elevation gain.
Fabulous views. We even saw turtles.
The view back to the Causeway Lake, where we are staying.  About 11kms out of Yeppoon.

Views back to Double Head

We had a quiet evening in between the vans out of the wind and as I finish this it has just started raining.

I recorded 5kms of walking but it was a bit more than that.
We drove 28km unhitched.
