Day 37. Weipa.

Early morning meander for me, ~2kms. The campground is very busy. There's camper trailers everywhere. A warm night, 21°, meant windows & blinds open and fan on.

Entrance to the campground.

Went for a bike ride, 16kms, around Weipa. We found off road and bitumen tracks.  Road past a solar farm.

Evans landing.

Man on a mission to deliver a crate of bread.
So many little fish.
Rocky Point.
Our campground from rocky point
Can you guess why it's called Rocky Point?
Weipa Port

   Rio Tintos ferry, Sara.

Shells I couldn't collect as they still had residents.

So many rocks on the beach.

 Mission River crossings.

It's marginally cooler today and we  swam in the pool twice. We had dinner, chicken and salad, sitting outside our van with Yvonne and Gunther.  Followed up by lovely mangoes and custard. The mangoes came from Lynelle and Chris's trees in Port Douglas.

A very noisy neighbour had Mark and I move inside before I threw something at her πŸ™„
